Studio Anthony Ko is an architecture and spatial design practice.

The studio operates to depict values and agendas in the environment, creating projects that respect and acknowledge the context and history. Studio Anthony Ko creates unusual spaces and experiences through theoretical design methods.

Biography

Anthony Ko (Chun Ming)

Anthony Ko is a Hong Kong based artist, spatial designer and architect registered in the United Kingdom, primarily works in the form of spatial designs, installations and community projects.

Ko works in a theoretical approach and creates manifestos to delineate the provocative properties of architecture. Ko experiments on the topic of place attachment, environmental psychology and cultural preservation, and in recent years he focuses on assemblage of spaces in remote and exilic environments.

Ko obtained his M.Arch from the Bartlett School of Architecture UCL (2017) and BA in architectural studies at The University of Hong Kong (2014). Ko started his spatial design agency Studio Anthony Ko (Previously DILEMMA) to embody values and meanings into architecture through multidisciplinary and critical design methodologies. Ko is currently teaching design studio at the Department of Architecture in the University of Hong Kong (HKU).

Anthony’s embodiment of meanings into spaces are presented in his public art projects including Land of Unknowing Sceneries (Oku-Noto Triennale), Disintegration (SMACH Art), Fragile World (Sai Kung Hoi Arts Festival), After Seventeen Days (deTour Design Festival), Natural Order (Via North Point), Nostalgists (Take PARK in Art: Seats Together) and Repair Station (In Time Of).

高浚明

高浚明是一位英國註冊建築師, 空間設計師和藝術家, 主要以空間排序, 裝置和社區項目等媒介工作. 他主要以理論形式進行創作, 並制作建築宣言來描繪建築的渲染力. 他的作品主要表達地方依附,心理環境和文化保育等議題, 近年開始探索於荒野極地進行空間營造. 他獲得倫敦大學學院巴特利特建築學院建築學碩士學位(2017)和香港大學建築學學士學位(2014). 他創立了浚明空間研作室, 通過跨界別的工作模式和批判性的視野將意義和價值體現在建築裡.

他賦予空間意義的設計手法能從其參與過的公共或藝術項目中體現, 當中包括秘境(奧能登國際藝術祭), 瓦解(於多洛米蒂山脈舉行的SMACH Art雙年展), 飄浮氣泡(西貢海藝術節), 在十七天後(deTour), 自然序列(路過北角), Nostalgists(樂坐其中), 修復站(世界之約).
